I was there at the Anderson
It was across the street from the Fillmore, the show starts with Casey Jones but the band stopped about a minute into the song and passed around a big fat doobie, then start again from the beginning of the song after each had taken a hit. That would give it away if anyone has that on tape. I can't remember anything else except for the drugs, because of the drugs! As usual back then a shopping bag maybe a quarter full of Owsley's finest made its way around the theatre, help yourself! My favorite was the purple, it seemed the colors you saw were related to the color of the acid, amazing, what a genius. There were never ending bottles, pipes, joints, etc. being passed around. At the edge of the stage, stage left, there was a giant bowl of blow, with a HA member standing next to it so you couldn't pocket anything but you could inhale as much as you liked, I didn't participate in that ,I couldn't really move, I don't know how or when I got home. I meant to get a poster on the way out but forgot, well you can figure out why, it was only $2.00, probably worth thousands today. I was at the Fillmore show also, I remember all the guys from Traffic, and I believe Peter Green were drunk, someone broke Pigpens maracas. I guess I'm lucky to remember anything, sorry to ramble on. Peace

Too bad.
What a great show by the greatest band..... Wtf were they thinking doing anything for those chicken wings? Two dollars... Only way I'd give $2 is to NOT piss on those feather heads if they were on fire.

No track labeling for streaming. What the hell, though: it's got great jams and is a god recording, whatever date it really is.

False tape
Check out the fillmore show from 11/16.
This is pretty much just an excerpt from that show. It has the exact same NFA jam with winwood. AND it has more songs.
Somebody already explained why it is not the other way around.
Pass it on.

Uncle John's Band??
Where is the Uncle John's Band?? It started with just bass and a harmonica for ~8 bars. It is the only time I heard the song started this way and I loved it. Why isn't this song here?? I had it on an old tape of this show in the late '70s.

Only two dollars?!
And for such a worthy cause!
Despite all the frustrating cuts and missing tracks, this show is a keeper. The parts of the soundboard reel that do exist sound very good. And Weir really sounds amazing here -- both his vocals and his rhythm-work. Lots of fun with some very special guests.
