Songs from Festival Express DVD???
I haven't listened to this show yet, but I wish I could get the songs featured in the Festival Express DVD. Don't Ease Me In, Hard To Handle, and a GREAT New Speedway Boogie were in the movie. Looks like i'm gonna have to rip 'em off the DVD...

music not so good
This clip is not the greatest however..
Festival express is required viewing for anyone that is into the dead and has been in the company of alot of folks all simultaneously dosing - Janis Joplin is abt the best live performance I have ever seen in 'cry baby'. Jerry Bobby and Phil are all really really funny in this - Pig does not say much if anything regrettably.

FESTIVAL EXPRESS
by quality standards this show is no gem but hey, man, these are the only tracks on the archives from the infamous festival express train! that glorious cross-canada locamotive immortalized by robert hunter in "might as well". buddy guy, the band, new riders of the purple sage and janis joplin were some other folks who hung out there.
it sounds to me as if hard to handle emerged from some other cosmic jam. all in all, if these songs were doctored up a bit we'd have a solid handful of songs. this show is great for your collection if not for the historical purposes then for the novelty.
