~Super 70' Soundbard & Classic 1970 Sound~
This show is a "gotta have it, must have".
At the begining of Elpaso Jerry says: "Okay now here's where Weir gets his wish...at the expense of everybody..."
Apparently someone forgot to turn the tape machine on when "Easy Wind" started, so all we get is a Garcia solo and Pigpen singin' the last verse and then it ends...freakin' hippies!
The GRATEFUL DEAD are still doing songs from Anthem of the Sun and Aoxomoxoa which is a real treat to hear performed live.
An exceptional performance of "Cosmic Charlie".
And there is nothing like Pigpen singing "Good Lovin'".
Uncle John's Band is performed effortlessly and is memorable. Garcia's guitar sound is classic; full of tone & body.
Nothin' like a GRATEFUL DEAD show, especially when it's in a tiny hole in the wall club in the Canal neighborhood of San Rafael.
Today the Canal is filled with Hispanics and everything is in Spanish...lmao
