Tear that old building down
Well after just coming from Fall 1972 in the Archive and dropping in on this TDIH on a whim. I wasn’t sure what I would think of this show? Ah, but no
...
worries because I did a healthy amount of Europe 90 went from Stockholm to London. This is a fairly good representation of that tour and this must be pretty close to the end of Hornsby’s time with the band. This night works, it is high energy! First set is really good Touch-)Greatest Loser -good placement Minglewood-Weir just about forgets NYC Candy man- Big River-) Maggie’s Farm What a great pairing Big River is such the timeless dead cover Maggie’s Farm- I guess this counts As a cowboy double shot. Always good when everybody gets a line! It seems like they snag a little By the time they hit Row Jimmy But they work it out on extended Let it Grow The Second Set is well done Samson A killer Eyes lots of jam saint of circumstance This song did some heavy lifting from 90 to 91 Pretty cool they got some quick up shift and used Circumstance to really get the whirling dancers whirling.. A really sweet jam With Hornsby in this line-up Very dynamic with Bruce on Piano They kept the sweetness of old school Dead Perhaps a Dark Star jam,, Drums-) Space With some real fierceness in drums The Other One- 🔥 Wharf Rat-even on the soundboard I hear the crowd 💕 on Garcia -) Heart ❤️ felt Good Lovin And a lovely Attics encore! Overall this is solid and for the time period this is closer to a 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ⭐️

OK show. Eyes, Candyman, Space, Attics are highlights.
The Candyman here is a special one--I really like the unique keyboard stuff, sometimes the sax instrument, sometimes the chorus, sometimes the warm pad.

An interesting touch to the usually piano-y Dead. Eyes is definetly a classic one, too--nice slow & steady pace, sweet jamming. I am also really digging the "Dark Star Jam", Drums, & especially Space ... this one is the extraterrestial's choice. Final Verdict: OK show. Eyes, Candyman, Space, Wharf Rat, Attics are highlights.

Underrated show in this historic MSG run. One the best Eyes I've ever heard. Just gorgeous! I love the whole 2nd set.

it offers a great set list, dark star jam (in the first show), Row jimmy, candyman, let it grow all able to stand on their own great performances and when I heard attics to close the show I knew that this was something bigger then life itself. the rest of the fall 91 tour, MSG/BG, would be just as good as anything they did with brent.

FANTASTIC eyes as the highlight of the pre-drums. Post space is not as strong as the rest of the show. Wharf Rat is perfect, but Bobby is clearly losing his voice in Good Lovin. The Attics encore is nice, but could be sung a lot better; however the last time they played it (besides the soundcheck) was a year and a half ago.
