Jerry clearly loved playing this in 77. What a pleasure to hear.

Another Winterland Classic
Amazing, mellow show. Jerry's playing is fluid and intense. Particularly love the St. Stephen and the soft, intricate jam at the end of TOO into Stella.

Scarlet Begonias
I might be beating a dead horse here, but I've gotta add my two-cents regarding this "Scarlet Begonias": a SUPERB version, with just the right "roll-and-jump"
...
to it, with killer work from Garcia. For what it's worth, my all-time favorite "Scarlet" is the monumental version from 21May77 Lakeland. Most vistors here have probably heard it, but if you haven't: Get On It!! This is an excellent show all-around; a highly enjoyable, fairly heavy evening in what is arguably the Dead's finest year.

gotta complete the run
Well, IMO, this night is not as good as the previous two nights. But I had to get it just to complete my Winterland collection I've been working on for
...
several months now. But there are some spectacular moments happening in this show...like Scarlet and The Other One. I give it a 4 for show and a 3.5 for sound quality...rounds up to a 4 overall.

This is my favorite Row Jimmy. Jerry plays with such emotion during the jam that it brings tears to my eyes (even after 50+ listenings). I can't imagine

a better way to lead into the "broken heart don't feel so bad" verse. Absolutely amazing. Also, this is my favorite Scarlet without Fire. I didn't download this show from here, so I can't comment on the sound quality. If it's anything like mine, there's a little hiss but it's not enough to interfere with the experience. Get this show now!!
