An odd mix and an old setlist
With a setlist that could have been lifted from 1972 (at least the first set) this show just doesn't offer much in the way of innovation. Jerry's really

playing well as is Brent, Bobby however is missing from much of the proceedings which seems to be a problem with the really odd and unbalanced mix. Bob is much too low and Brent is at times much too prominent. It doesn't make for a unified listening experience which is regrettable as the playing isn't bad at all even if the setlist is somewhat routine. China Cat , Space and Playing are highlights, very nice.

Fun one for sure
I really dig the quarky nature of this show. The intro to Women Smarter is as funky as all get out.

Hi
The early 80's was the beginning of the time that the Dead would play three different sets, three different nights at one location. It's evident here..I

think there are only two repeat songs from this Warfield Run (My Brother Esau, new in 1983 and Little Red Rooster.) While the Dead did like to vary what songs they played night in and night out, it started becoming more mechanical in the early 80's. It's the beginning of the end of the long, winding, exploratory music they perfected in the 70's.
