Last best 2nd set
This was the last, best 2nd set I saw. The Touch is uneven, but really good. Samson really well played. The UJB is uneven, but a jumping off point to an interesting Supplication type jam into a few moments where Jerry plays beyond his capacity for 1994 - just great stuff - he goes OFF at the end of UJB. The Corrina is a letdown after the UJB,
However, I will never forget my friend at the show yelling "Oh my god Jerry is playing Cosmic Charlie" after the 01. For me, that near Cosmic Charlie was my best in-person GD experience of the 90s. When Jerry dropped into Wharf Rat my very good friend, sensing my disappointment about CC said " The best Wharf Rat ever!" -- and it was fantastic.
Check out this 2nd set for surprises and really interesting jamming in late-era GD. Jerry was THERE for set 2.

re: teases
Man i was at this show, and I recall my mind being blown at what i thought i was hearing after Other One... Then suddenly, BAM Wharf Rat. It was an awesome feeling in the coliseum for about 30 seconds, the crowd was going nuts! The Wharf Rat was very nice, but damn what could have been! I really wish they busted out more old gems in their later years, like 12-6-92 Compton Terrace, Here Comes Sunshine. This was a good show for 1994, and an experience for me personally that I won't forget.

re:teases
Why yes, I sure did hear the lilting fingerprint of Supplication presented by Jerry against the 7-beat backdrop of Uncle John's jam. Good ear, man. Maybe Uncle John was feeling a little supplicative.
By the way, the missus says I'm real full of it when I make up words like that. Just thought you all should know I have very very smart wife who deconstructs all my theories about the Dead and their music, quite accurately I might add, even though she can't stand the stuff. It takes a real keen eye to talk about something you know nothing about, and apparently neither of us do!

3 stars is about all I can muster for this night, even with the Cosmic Charlie tease.

hiss'd off
you know the saying..."it's better to be hiss'd on, than hiss'd off"
So how do you think the band feels ?
I know I've been seriously hiss'd on for the pass 30 year, but it's a little different in 94, much cleaner and less of it.
so what's a little hiss.......this shit's always been unconditional.
o'ya...you have a little hiss there on the corner of your mouth.
