Jack A Roe
Sept. 29, 1989
Shoreline Amphitheatre

You know the crew is feeling spritely and in a cowboy mood when they play this, blessed frequently in '89 with it.

Sweet, sweet, down-home and yokey Jerry.

The Same Thing
June 11, 1993
Buckeye Lake Music Center

Pigpen cut revived for the 90's with the group in kind of a slow crawling king snake vibe. Vince knows how to lay down some organ. Top late form.

Ship of Fools

Winterland Arena

Premiere of this stately Jerry ballad.

Spanish Jam
Feb. 14, 1968
Carousel Ballroom

absolutely insane '68 Spanish Jam. The lovey-dovey, flower power vibes of the era are thrown out the window and swapped for pure, dark menace. Phil is just out of control on this. Makes me want to check out the rest of the show.
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo
April 15, 1978
William and Mary College Hall

Just randomly thought of this version again, jerry gives this everything he's got, i'm getting goosebumps typing this. must hear

https://youtu.be/-OWi1g8Xz5s?t=1374 Love watching the guys do this one on TV. Harmonies are on point and mickey is going nuts on this version, some might say he's overplaying but i fuckin love it. Jerry's SG tone is perfect.
