Looks Like Rain

Cue the Bobby haters lining up for beer and bathroom break. Me? The opening notes of LLR start and i always sink back into its calm melancholy and wonderful melody and progression. Donna augmenting this performance very well, Phil and the Devils with some bite and drive comin' right in there and elevating this version above. More '77 magic all around I would say. And then lots of magical mystical jamming on this version too, everyone's feeling it and Winterland definitely raises a couple of inches closer to God. Actually, this is one of the best LLR's ever, some 80's and E72 ones are similarly epic and majestic for sure. Rippling waves of glory!!! Don't miss it.

Awesome big river. Keith, keith, keith, keith, keith, keith, and keith once again. You know i love Pigpen, Brent, Vince, Hornsby. You already know that. There's something about KG with the Dead that really influences how I hear the music, and makes me want to play that grand piano in that epic jazzy, ragtime, country and western, rock'nroll hybrid style like he did. Just sayin'!

Um exqueez me, 3 votes? Jerry and Donna putting their gold money where their motherflippin' mouths are, JG goes absolutely insane on his Travis Beane TB500 guitar (strange thing, Strat-esque body with a traditional headstock, the tone is meaty and fat, just blissful. Loser fans rejoice upon this fantastic and fabulous version. I just love the solo on this, it's so lyrical and nasty.
