West L.A. Fadeaway
Sept. 24, 1988
Madison Square Garden
Whew multi-armed "VISHNU" guitar blues jamming with a little help from Mick Taylor. Mick and Jerry were probably the most exciting Americana guitarists after Duane Allman's untimely passing. Hearing them over some hot coked-out 80's Dead is uber-funness. Ps the Stones shared the Dead standards Not fade away, Around and around, and Little red rooster in the early days. Not to mention their mutual proximity to the flying burritos, which resulted in keith writing "wild horses", which jerry has also played in his Old and In the Way band with david grisman, john kahn, and some other pranksters.
