Re: the Youtube version - something about the imagery of a baby and a dog kind of fits in with the GD aesthetic of dancing bears, turtles et al. You know? As characters they are all avatars, controllers of pure feeling.

Just beautiful, perfect feeling and intensity. One of my favorite Dead tunes. There was something really special in the air writing the tunes for Wake of the Flood.
