Train rippin' down the hot coals of the 1973 track.

Drums

Can't believe I'm submitting this. Long and fun drum circle that's notable because our Jer Bear whips out a steel pan and joins in.

Jerry tearing the standards book asunder with this elegant poetic brilliance

Big River
Oct. 31, 1990
Wembley Arena

For a few minutes wembley in '90 becomes the fillmore in the summer of 1970, the way the Dead just slide into a no-nonsense Big River. Shivers

Smokin' and refined version of this deep cut, on "All Hallow's Eve" as a chap might say

He's Gone
April 24, 1972
Rheinhalle

Yeah heady bobby intro. Absolute, unhinged E72 mania, they had only been playing He's Gone for weeks. It was a definitive track for them, probably my favorite tune that they do, actually.
Days Between

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Such a gorgeous tune
Playin' In The Band
Feb. 22, 1974
Winterland Arena

Was listening to this gig from 47 yrs ago today while making breakfast and needed to call attention to the "Slipknot" quote at 5:17. Seems some other heads already know whats up.... The seeds of GD compositions lie in the alchemy of pure live jamming. Edit oh wow, much less subtle dip into slipknot right at the 10 minute mark. just awesome.
