ok whoa, need to check out the rest of the "Rockin' in the Rhein" show. on the one hand a groove puddle with philly and billy, the other, a lysergic quadrophony. Post-verse playing is as intensely free jazz/noise as they got, surely on this iconic tour at least. amazeballs, freakishly visionary jazziness on this version of dark star, this shit is absolutely staggering, dripping from the golden fountain, ritualistic dreaming. pre-verse is super great playing also
