BIlly on da tubs -- in spite of the fact that the same lineup returned to the stage less than 2 yrs later, the 5-night october winterland run was really the end of, if not an era, then a Sound. The end of the "acid jazz" couple of years is most obv with the retirement of DS. The versions of ds after this one are all lightyears away in feel and tone and i can count the ones ive heard on only two hands!! So paying key attention to this rapturous final glimpse of liquid 70's DS. everything swells with life on it
