China Doll
Feb. 8, 1986
Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center

totally chilling, surely this is a major version for the era. Maybe gets lost in the sea of 80's california shows but truly epic stuff, the solo is bone crushing, melodramatically the hammers of the velvet curtains begin sighing in the rain as glamorous beauties fall in puddles of filthy trash soot. Epochal caves of space evoked by Garcia's throat ripped performance. Mind ripping performance that cuts to the core and plunges headfirst back into firecracker pitb.

Franklin's Tower

full of generous juju, supremely chill mid80's rhodes and heavy phil vibe. Tunneling to icy bliss through the caves, more trains and buses assemble
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo

breezy and super on, soaring Jer bear vocally and instrumentally, spritely and layered accompaniment, twinkly lush crescendoes and cresting arcing grandioh jams.
Stella Blue

spine tingling rendition... Essential.
