Train rippin' down the hot coals of the 1973 track.

Can't believe I'm submitting this. Long and fun drum circle that's notable because our Jer Bear whips out a steel pan and joins in.

Jerry tearing the standards book asunder with this elegant poetic brilliance

Big River
Oct. 31, 1990
Wembley Arena

For a few minutes wembley in '90 becomes the fillmore in the summer of 1970, the way the Dead just slide into a no-nonsense Big River. Shivers

Smokin' and refined version of this deep cut, on "All Hallow's Eve" as a chap might say

He's Gone
June 10, 1973
RFK Stadium

weir is exquisite on this. And show me a vocal coda that gets more minimalist than this.... bennybenhead, you can add 12/2/73 out of pitb to the list, another stellar 73 he's gone. This might be The Year for he's gone, indeed.
Brokedown Palace
June 8, 1977
Winterland Arena

achingly beautiful. Perfect version that gives 9/27/72 a run for its money.
Franklin's Tower
Aug. 3, 1982
Starlight Theatre

they mean business on this one
All Along the Watchtower
July 4, 1989
Rich Stadium

Wow, great pick, gr8fulterrapin. Holy moly they sound amazing.... the look on Hart's face says it all.... Garcia's guitar playing is just exploding with raw desparation, he's playing like a man on the edge fighting for his life.... 1989 was truly an incredible year for the group, one of their best.
Truckin'
Oct. 19, 1980
Saenger Performing Arts Center

Dope version with Brent fanning. Instagram heads need to check out @chestnutsfromthearchive, a self-described "tour hound from 77-95" who uploads great recommendations with his listening notes. He probably has a heady version account
