wispy weir pedal. Jer putting it all out there as august, spotlight. faithful tempo with period kick. Hiroshima bridge, psychedelic. Great!

Here Comes Sunshine
Dec. 19, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

just had an impulse to throw this version on again, and very glad i did.... Very rewarding.... Last night while listening to a bit of 9/16/78, i was marvelling at how much they could wring out of the two chords of Fire on the mountain. How about just one chord, though? This Here comes sunshine is just rippin'....... It's truly sad that they retired this tune. Imagine how many heady versions of it there would be through the years.

vocals are pitch perfect, Jerry growling for good measure. Weir's playing is really nice on this too. Jerry's playing throughout and especially in the pre-rio grandio jam is devastating, he was on tonight. Just some tasting notes on this 78 half step.

whew mama! Must-hear...... vocals are rough, characteristic of the era. But the jam is epic. Fluid and raw..... propulsive. Dusborne matrix, as usual, is the must.

Man they are flying on Owsley's purest batch for this. Never heard a better vocal delivery from Weir. Just awesome, can't believe it only has 23 votes. This TOO is magnificent.
