I Need A Miracle
July 20, 1994
Deer Creek Music Center

6 tracks pre-drums, a set chock full of patient, far-reaching playing. This is a perfect party time palate cleanser, searing.

Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
July 20, 1994
Deer Creek Music Center

A version that earns the submission. Inspired and filled out. Night prior is hot and the Deer Creek magic reigns.

Veterans' Memorial Coliseum

Excellent generously stately and tumultuous intro. Laid back. Nice melt to black peter.

tight bucket yields this hoarse , ever so blue hot, blistering version!! Heavy late night express jerry soul rocker, big man sends it, gnarly version.

this is a golden stretch in terms of style and form for GD. Deep and thickly bright sprinting jam

The Wheel
June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

bound to cover just a little more ground, for only 3rd time, chunky and dancing version, powerful

June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

The approach to this trifecta as a victory lap rather than a bust out of the gate yields an arguably even more rewarding version of the composition. Slip is not a melter so much as a slow burn...

Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication
June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

rippling and full of alignment, just shredding
Playin' In The Band
June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

For sure under-voted, it's playing in the band and they go crazy on this one. Returning to the D modal jam from craziness, you can start to see why this is Keith Godchaux's "catatonic" phase, his Rhodes playing doesn't take us as far as say, a Dark Star from two years prior would. But it's still nasty and great. Iconic Donna wail coming back around. One of those PITB's that'll take you through several distinct cycles of mood
