Jack A Roe

Shoreline Amphitheatre

You know the crew is feeling spritely and in a cowboy mood when they play this, blessed frequently in '89 with it.

Sweet, sweet, down-home and yokey Jerry.

The Same Thing

Pigpen cut revived for the 90's with the group in kind of a slow crawling king snake vibe. Vince knows how to lay down some organ. Top late form.

Morning Dew
Sept. 18, 1987
Madison Square Garden

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIDBlV44DK0 Basking in this absolutely glorious version of Morning Dew, Jerry's vocals are diamonds deep in the labyrinthine mine of emotional time and space, his scream at 4:43 is where the insanity kind of starts. The devils and Brent right away start matching jerry's level of involvement and they know that it's special even for a Dew. I Definitely needed this. 8:14, legendary too, genuinely shocking moment and the crowd roars, they are in complete ecstasy. Everything in this version is just screamin'. one of those versions I would put on my ultimate playlist
