Love this OO! As a five piece unit I am just INFATUATED with 71 OOs and 71 period. I've been filling out my show collection in flac from etree since I found mistermojorising 's Grateful Dead projects which I highly recommend.
King Bee
March 24, 1971
Winterland Arena
Pig is just not good on this King Bee. I'm doing a whole listen of 3/24/71 and I mean his harmonica sounds out of tune??!! and HE is singing off so I gotta wonder is he's drunk which would totally explain this but there's a hard to handle in the 2nd so we'll see. OK folks it's literally playing as I'm typing and PIg is DEFINITELY slurring a bit and that confirms it for me he's drunk. Garcia tried to musically silence him when he comes back in with that out of tune harp and it ends with an off kilter vocal. This says a lot actually, like Jerry had to hate that Pig is 'affected' by alcohol and it then affects the music.
