Johnny B. Goode

Jerry in full guitar hero mode, and he can barely keep up with himself. They played FAST in '80.

Slow build but the outtro solo is worth it. Jerry shreds it to pieces. Amazing. Make sure you get the Matrix - it's a VAST improvement.

Ken Nordine Space - definitely worth a listen.

So Many Roads

Rosemont Horizon

Pretty bad lyrical flubs, but fluent and decisive solo

It Must Have Been The Roses

Boston Garden

No solo, but lots of beautiful little nuances hiding in the verses. Standout performance by every supporting member.

Love the mandolin on this one.

This song single-handedly converted me on the early 80s. Whole show is excellent.
Looks Like Rain

I like this song better when it's a real song instead of a Bobby vehicle. Just a personal preference. Setting that aside, still probably the best version.

At first I didn't like Brent on this, but now that's the reason I keep coming back to it.

This one gets me. The band is just hitting their stride in that leaderless, fragile way they did in 72, and Jerry's delivery is more natural and more subdued than usual. It just breaks my heart.
