Hurts Me Too
Oct. 17, 1970
Cleveland Music Hall
One of Pig's best: Perfect vox, great harp solo. Jerry too. Some tape issues, but thanx Mr. Miller... thanks a lot.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Oct. 17, 1970
Cleveland Music Hall
Multigen sound quality, but unmistakenly tight jam with a sweet transition.

Doin' That Rag
Jan. 24, 1969
Avalon Ballroom
Song was brand new and they're searching for the sound, almost goes into a Violaesque jam. Transitional, hot stuff.

Death Don't Have No Mercy
Jan. 17, 1969
Civic Auditorium
Deep and mournful, with great organ fills and group soloing. Very solid.

St. Stephen
June 7, 1969
Fillmore West
Massively crunching Stephen with Jer's tone like a machinegunbuzzsaw. Out of a killer DS too. Why no love yet?

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
April 23, 1977
Springfield Civic Center
This one really deserves its spot on the front page, even for a a song played 300 times more or less over the years. Like much of this show it seems tentative at times but of a sudden turns just colossally confident. The oomph that everyone mentions is real, and they orchestrate the highs and lows to perfection.
The Music Never Stopped
April 23, 1977
Springfield Civic Center
Absolute face melter. Kicks off an absolute dream sequence in the 2nd set.
Bertha
April 23, 1977
Springfield Civic Center
Keith is woodshedding throughout this. Gives us a master blaster class of razzle and dazzle during the whole number. He's got ten fingers on each hand if he's got one!
Its All Over Now
April 23, 1977
Springfield Civic Center
Teases "Blackbird" in the noodling after, which is honestly my favorite part of this version. Not to disrespect the song, but it didn't move me. This JGB with Bobby doing an acoustic Blackbird sure did, however, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMsS-fIhWuk
Me and My Uncle
April 23, 1977
Springfield Civic Center
Not only is this the first version since 17.06.1975 (not since 1974 as said here), but this may be the very first pure disco beat they played in concert. Disco-dead might not be everybody's favourite cuppa, but it certainly did happen.... Enjoy it you cardboard cowboys!!!
