Muscular and punchy. Jer sings it right on: kicked my eye and kicked my dog, midnight train. Energy reigns.

Contains everything and could stand alone as an epic GDTRFB, even as part of its trad NFA sammy. Great speed work from everyone, builds and builds.

"Kicked my eye and he blacked my dog". Like others this night, the vibe is aggressive and rowdy, knifey jagged soloing, this one's a killer.

Introduced as"kind of a death and destruction song", which tells you all you need to know.

Outrageous, hot, and pumped up. Should have been of this list a long time ago.

Beautiful transition out of an epic Eyes, keeping up the mellow vibe of the whole show: Take-yer-time, we'll get there...
Eyes Of The World

This whole show has a nice take-our-time vibe. They build up slow and steady, but get there in the end, making this another top-shelf '73 Eyes.

Zen-like spacious "hot mellow" like the best of '73. Opening the show like this must have told the heads in attendance, "Gear up boys and girls, we're on tonight...."

Truly one of the most amazing examples of the GD's brilliance ever. I love this version. No secret that '73 Eyes are soaring glories (wings a mile long...) but this one stands out for its crisp precision and the absolutely freakingly shredding jam after the interlude leading straight into China Doll. Leaves me breathless.

Beautiful spaced out jazz. Sounds for a second like Jer wanted to go into Stella right before Drums.
