Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication
June 10, 1976
Boston Music Hall

I suppose everyone knows the one the night before, but this one is tighter & more overwhelming in that all-encompassing 7/4 mindmelt way.

The Music Never Stopped

Boston Music Hall

Airtight version with perfect orchestration. Especially sweet vocals with Donna Jean at her best. Never quite lifts off in the jam though.

Dancin' in the Streets

How has this whole show been overlooked? I know '76 is generally undervalued, even by '70s fans, but c'mon, this is smokin' hot stuff.

Gorgeous vocals and a beautiful ensemble feel. This show is seriously underappreciated.

Fires off like a rocket. Souped up and accelerated. Is this the first LiG without the WRS to introduce it? It's a speed demon top notch version.

Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

Only the Dead can melt down and build up at the same time like this wonderful Slipknot. The knot is knotted, the loop well looped and out of the tangle we go into the beauty of Franklin's Tower. The '76 groove mellows it waaaaaaaay out, but they're really tight even at the slow tempo. Honestly, too, never did Donna, Bobby and Jerry harmonise so sweetly as on this Help.
Mind Left Body Jam

No such thing as a bad MLB jam. The Playin' before it got so weird that even the tough bikers were probably freaked out, let alone the dosed hippies. The MLB just brought it back and shows us good sunlight and lots of tender love. I'm there in mind today, though I couldn't be there in body then.

Totally blazing. Jerry took his vitamins.
Eyes Of The World

Agreed that this is unique. Compare the 2 sets to this amazing show: 1st set is jumping and hot, while the whole 2nd set is cool, smooth and mellow , including the beautiful DS and this great Eyes.
Playin' In The Band

Funny version. Seems to space out for a while then really heats up right at the massive ending.
