Fun, raucous, and rowdy, but full of tight ensemble jamming and a nice Bobby/Jerry balance, allowing you to hear Cowboy Bob's great backup work.

Jerry's voice is at his most elegant, showing some smoke. Keith is supremely intuitive and beautiful, the band goes higher and higher. Great version.

The Dead invented hard rock. There it is. This is when they were at their most dangerous, their most 'hide the kids' threatening to the squares. This version shoots you out of the cannon and blows you to a million pieces, before landing back safely at the beautiful Cryptical to follow: Jagged and heavy peaks, scary circles within circles and loops and fractal roller coasters where you're either on the bus or under it. Those who know don't always say, and those who say don't always know....

Nice long stretched out version with sparkling Keith accents throughout the long, lucid, solos showcasing Jerry at his clear-headed best. Don't let the AUD fool you. This is worth the ride. The transition to Samson is pretty weird for a few moments, like they were going into something else or a totally new territory before landing on it.
