Buzzing and crackling and just a wee bit manic. Early 1st set and the party is raging. Fun and wild.

Sublime and mysterious. A beauty.

Mama Tried

Fillmore East (Late Show)

Perfect fun, with great organ work and the '70 sound. Pig says, "I'd thank you to not use no dirty words in the public" which cracks me up, too.

Deep and dark with strong emotional jams. Lots of great Peters around this time.

Churning and swirling, it grows and grows like a dynamo wheelspinner.
Scarlet Begonias
Sept. 14, 1974
Olympiahalle

The AUD patch at the beginning doesn't remove one iota of this version's enormous musicality and brilliance. Towards the end it sounds like everyone is playing in a different time signature yet moving forward with the grace, fun and bounce specific to the song's unique pulse. Wonderful.
Playin' In The Band

Alexandra Palace

Inventive and flowing with perfect ensemble mindflow. Never gets old. One of the great greats.

Fuckin' double posts. I'm sorry. But really young heads dig deep into the good old GD on this one.
