Around and Around

Usually a toss-off for me, and maybe it's Chuck Berry's passing that makes me think of it, but this version kicks serious ass. Deliberate and strong.

Bird Song

Crisp, articulate, deliberate. This is as strong a statement about what this song could be in '72 as I know. Airplay levels of concision.

Cold Rain and Snow

Always loved this one early in the first set, 'cause it meant the boys meant business. This one has a loose, comfortable sound, but with high energy.

Masterclass from the Philzone here. He tears this one up.

Driven version. Purposeful, biting, and strong, with a high-tension wire energy. They meant business.

Wild space.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Boston Garden

All around great show from a great run of shows. This China quickly moves into a IKYR-feel, then a great Feeling Groovy Jam. The Rider is stunningly good and the music just lifts off and takes wing.

Even by '73 standards this is hotter than hot. Listen to the whole concert: Not one clunker.

Top form '73 in a spectacular show from first note to finish. Truckin'>TOO>IKYR just mindbending. First set is a shitkickin' country bender. All good.
The Other One

War Memorial

Totally overlooked concert.
