Smoking 85 version from a grate show!

Wharf Rat
Sept. 4, 1983
Park West Ski Resort

HOT version, outro is a bit fast, in keeping with the entire era. But Jerry's leads are on fire, sounds straight outta 74

Brokedown Palace
Oct. 3, 1980
Warfield Theater

Love this one -- redeems dead set. Brokedown was made for Brent's backup vocals and organ.
St. Stephen
May 8, 1977
Barton Hall - Cornell University

Love the show, but not a huge fan of the st Stephen -- post hiatus ones lose the psychedelic feel, which, in my opinion, is what makes the song special in the first place.
Bird Song
Aug. 27, 1972
Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

so groovy...the whole jam from about 3:30 to 7:30 is about as perfect as it gets....and it's almost outdone by the outro jam. for my money there are 5-6 "best ever" versions from this show including bird song, DS (a top 3 for sure if not the best), china rider (top 5), playin (the BEST!!), greatest story ever told, maybe sugar mag....bertha could certainly be in the conversation. But this is my favorite song of the night...soooooooo groovy
Bird Song

Greensboro Coliseum

Was at this show and remember this being the highlight for me (yes, even more than the awesome dark star in the second set).
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
July 7, 1989
JFK Stadium

smoking fire! this is the best sound of the late 80's dead.
