Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 15, 1985
Devore Field

This Fire burns hard with ‘85 energy - come and get some as Jerry switches from blazing from the highest peaks to speed drilling with diamond crusted drillbits…it’s all here as the band is a well oiled machine shop of instrumentation….
Not Fade Away
March 23, 1972
Academy of Music

Pssst! Want to hear GD magic? Full band mind meld here where they all ago fully HAM and crater the joint. Everyone’s in on the action and it is face melting finger lickin’ good ol’Grateful Dead ala 1972. Billy is an absolute maniac on the kit, Phil throws rope a dope throughout and the jams are glorious. This must be taken head to toe from NFA>GDRFB>Reprise with Pig and Bobby howling away and holy fuck if the band isn’t blasting faster than the speed of sound at the end of NFA. all 3 are special and worth the listenable- then vote your consciousness, but this whole suite is criminally low.

Jer goes fully HAM at the 23rd min mark as they transition into the still unreleased Bufo Blues for abt 5mins before back into STW. Yikes!
