With a Jerry riff here and Jerry riff there, everywhere a Jerry riff-riff. This intro has an Allman swing.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Dec. 6, 1973
Public Hall

This is the weirdest version of both tunes I have heard to date. Usually a fan of different arrangements however temporary they might last. I find a thread of strong discordance throughout the CC that resolves finally at the Feelin Groovy break. I love Feelin Groovy breaks and this one is welcome after hearing the gang sound as though they are playing different songs and so when they land on a melody. It's cool to hear Jerry literally all over the place with ideas but to me Bob and Keith in particular fail to give his solos a platform to build from. Phil is nonexistent to my ears until Jerry's headlight verse and the fuzzbomb drop at the end of the Rider. The Rider is bizarre and sounds like they are playing from across a huge field removed from everything and everyone... voices are clear yet instruments fade in and out the fog. Interesting, different and unique but not my particular bag. While I do appreciate others take on how this gets them going shown by all the comments above - I'm just from a different planet on this one. .

7 Lousy votes for what is arguably some of the most worthy hard jammed acid rock from your favorite band. Get back to the roots, run for the hills, Katie bar the door and try to put this fire out and good fucking luck. KILLER I repeat killer That's it for the Other One. The CE reprise in particular is basically the sounds of a Red Dwarf changing to Blue.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Lots of ideas abound here and yes agree they stretch it out nicely - Jer's licks are exploring the outer edges of each song and Phil detonates in the Rider.
New Minglewood Blues

Mississippi River Festival

Fiery and spanking nasty take. Recording captures the band/crowd energy really well too. The sight, sound and smells of this show are all right here. .

Yowzer - I had to go back and listen again. Whew boy that last solo is a wonderfully emotional, melodic trip that hits all the right notes for me.
