China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 22, 1972
Austin Municipal Auditorium

Do me a favor and just listen to this <flat reg or tape wobble or not> This China Cat is STACKED with ideas - this is like the Pandora’s box for China Cat riffs. Oh yeah then Phil brings the lumber on Rider lead bass guitar. Dang everybody’s exhausted so Jerry literally tries to shoot out all the lights before the last chorus. This is one of those did I just hear that? renditions. Sorry- just noticed I’ve been here before ha....and why I got on here was to say this CC is pretty fucking root gear for Country Jazz GD. ..

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 22, 1972
Austin Municipal Auditorium

If you like Europe ‘72 stylings dig into the fall tour through the Southwest. This CC is duly jangly, jaunty and whirling while during the Rider hear Jerry go ripshit and shoot out ALL the lights of the saloon. Keith is stellar, Phil is everywhere, Bdubs supports grandly and Billy the Kidd keeps it tight. We all love a hot Rider and for me this one never disappoints. Whole show is noteworthy in a hallowed year of this bands history.

Hey Grendel - if you like this one take a spin on 11/22/72 ... it’s got a pretty special He’s Goneness vibe in my book.
