Cold Rain and Slow - very mellow cool version they seem to be tooling around the arrangement - Bobby and Keith standout on this one.

Intro is long and dreamy all Jer + Keith. Jerry and Donna's vocal work is lovely here.

Jazzy Jazz .... Donna's nicely in tune for a change.

This one's all country upfront and then country fried on the outro...nice! (source:CM)

They hit the groove on this one so Jerry can throw the nasty sauce on it. (source:CM)

Cold Rain and Snow

Hey with Augusta '84 sitting at the top - I'd like to hear what anyone thinks of this one - same year different tour. More Jerry in my opinion and it rocks a bit harder tho both are very similar sounding. It's one of my favorites and I think top notch for the decade. I'm gonna go blast this in my barn along with some early Cautions to melt the snow later up here on the Midcoast.

Definitely different take here and it is clear they were having fun (see drum break) but I have to say the 1st half is a mess to me (not that I really care) cause the goods are always in the jam to the break and then the SSDD. And while I normally love Jerry's soaring note picking over a full gallop on my favorite SMAGS (ex. 3/23/72) ANY SONG with Jerbear BLASTING chords instead is a winner. +1 with a grin.
