Dark with stanky Jerry riffs over Bobby whammy work. Right in my wheelhouse but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
April 7, 1988
The Centrum
Still love this version with Bobby channeling Dylan’s vocal delivery and then becoming more and more unhinged as the band blasts away. Go Bobby Go!

Bobby with that ropey rhythm while Phil is tightly tiptoeing for Jerry to deliver a slicing lead. Ooooof. Boys are hot tonight.

You’re right this one’s SPECIAL. Love Weir’s rhythm and filigree work here and Jerry carves a blistering solo for the ages then a BRUTAL CUT- separation on recording is beautiful for phones and requires heavy study of this whole show. Not sure how I’ve missed the depths of this show - Nov ‘72 is easily one of my all time favorite months in this band’s history.
