Rip roaring out of Uncle John's Band and after a high octane 2nd set, how else to finish?

Best of the Fillmore East run,IMO. Sharp and clean guitar work, purposeful but still relaxed in the best early Deal tradition

Not Fade Away

Fillmore West

1970, this is new and the boys sound so full of energy and excitement. The whole show has just been reseeded on IA, worth a listen.

Thanks to Psychranger. Take half an hour out of your day and go listen (and dance around) to this masterpiece. It'll fire you up for the rest of the day and have you smiling. SBD VERSION!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaXHlHkeSsg
Hurts Me Too

Academy of Music

Coming in between the superb 22/3 and 28/3 versions, this slow blues seems to have been overlooked. Precise slide from Jerry, slow heart aching blues from Pigpen and the boys convey that sense of head down , trudging through the rain with the Blues! Excellent.
Stella Blue
Dec. 10, 1972
Winterland Arena

This night and the following evenings Stella Blues are beautifully paced and Jerry's singing as as good as he gets. Love his voice in this period.

Most times I skip Drums, but this one is worth the listening.
