Sweet Jerry vocals. A delicate ship setting sail into the post 1974 seas. Good harmonies from Bob and Donna. An overlooked show from an overlooked yea

One of best of 1974. Tight, Jerry inventive and confident, good soloing. Everything a Deal should be. Give it a listen.

Brilliant quality aud recording from Glassberg. https://archive.org/details/gd1977-05-03.aud.glassberg.motb.0042.86241.flac16 Give the whole show a whirl, even by May '77 standards it's good.

Thing is Phil's voice was always a bit dodgy, and after 1973 isn't up to it. Maybe they should have let Jerry and Donna sing it.

After looking down this list, I went to this show and started at the beginning. Wow,what a good He's Gone, but what a good show all in all. A Candyman(rare for 73, Jerry flubbs the lyrics but makes up for it. Great show.

this gets played each of the three nights of this mini run. All are stellar. 1972 is such a fine year for the Dead and this song. I can't pick the best 3 from the September run of shows let alone from the whole year. My brain hurts again.........
