An overlooked version because of the famous movie version from the 19th October, but good and on the money.

They really groove on the outro vocals-no shrieking, just driving on and on. Not at the top but a VG 78 version

Terrapin station album

I really do love the whole album. For the story that the Dead weren't good in the studio-what crap. Listening to the studio albums from Aoxomoxoa_> Terrapin what a list. most bands would be happy to have even 1 album as good.

People, please start from Samson and Delilah and run on through. It's all so good!

Fox Theatre

Ship of Fools doesn't really do it for me once Jerry's voice starts to go(hence Red Rocks 78 isn't worth the votes and Rich Stadium 1989 just upsets me. This night was like the good old days of 1974. Sweetly sung. spare but with feeling

Barton Hall - Cornell University

Sorry but there are better Estimated s in May- 22/5/77;25/5/77;18/5/77 to name 3. i think that Barton Hall is overrated . Yes it's good but so are most of the May shows.

I think that it is a rarefied form of madness to try and work out even the best 10 versions of songs from this Spring Tour, but nevertheless, i think this version of Estimated has the most precise soloing and all around and around goodness. Up in the top 3 with Pembroke Pines and The Mosque.
