An overlooked version because of the famous movie version from the 19th October, but good and on the money.

They really groove on the outro vocals-no shrieking, just driving on and on. Not at the top but a VG 78 version

such beautiful playing and delicate slide work, sad and tender after all the chaos.

Another Europe '72 night, and another superb Bertha as opener. It's hard to find a poor song from this entire tour let alone a n even just so-so night. My suggestion is get as many as you can cos the official production is great, and have them in your rotation often. This night does not disappoint.

It's just so good, I love the sound of Jerry's guitar and his singing is really on! So is Donna. A funky groove and fine playing by Keith. Oh how good the Dead were......

Once again, I agree with what Grendel has said. When Donna was good she was good, but all too often can't hear herself or is trying to sound "rock 'n'n roll. A good example of her gently singing along with Jerry soloing can be heard on Scarlet Begonia from earlier on in this gig. But again, on many of the great Scarlets that might have been, it's ruined by the off key backing vocals.
