I Need A Miracle
April 9, 1988
Centrum

The Worcester crowd is really into it. Another hot version. Aren't they almost always hot?

Jerry singing Big Boss Man to open the show - and nobody has mentioned this yet?

Sugar Magnolia
April 25, 1983
The Spectrum

This era is overlooked and underappreciated. This - like most around this time - cooks.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
June 14, 1980
Spokane Coliseum

Love the restraint Jerry plays with during the second instrumental break. Very measured and disciplined.

Olympia Halle

Bob's rap starts off with an indirect mention of Pigpen.

Johnny B. Goode
Nov. 30, 1980
Fox Theatre

Totally overrated. There are plenty of versions from 1973 that are better than this. Jerry really isn't shredding and Bret's keyboard work isn't all that, when you compare it to the rock & roll piano Keith used to play. Over - Rated. Over - Rated!
Picasso Moon
May 15, 1993
Sam Boyd Silver Bowl

The highs at the Silver Bowl on Friday and Saturday were 117 degrees. Come Sunday, people were just sick of it - including Jerry. On Sunday, he had this really big fan in front of him. The band walks on stage and Jerry is wearing white shorts. They get into Picasso Moon to open and right before the instrumental jam, that huge fan blows off Jerry's hair tie. He's standing there, wearing white shorts and his hair is being blown straight out of the back of his head. If you were there, you experienced what was probably the most embarrassing situation Jerry ever faced on stage.

Deal
Aug. 27, 1972
Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

Every Jerry Garcia Band version of Deal from 1989 through 1992 is better than this.

The Omni

I don't know, man.....I think he said something about a duck.
