Relaxed and joyous space-age electric guitar semi-ballad.

Warp speed, precise, slightly unhinged, and driving into the greenish-blue evening.

Godchaux leads a version that seethes with the excitement of a new song.

Brown Eyed Women

A giggly, slangy Garcia masterpiece (in sweet show sauce). Goes down EZ.

So good you can practically see the border town.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Nov. 26, 1972
San Antonio Civic Auditorium

Goes into insta-swing - Lesh boppin' the way forward. Garcia lulls the listener into a waking dream in the first break, then zooms somewhere else entirely in the next break and beyond. His Strat plays a whole host of characters. Hoooffaaaaa. Everyone's AMPED!
Candyman
Oct. 17, 1982
Santa Fe Downs

Steady Eddie, but with some graceful, swagger touches. & the guitar break: chef's kiss. Weir's slide work is alternatively fresh & annoying. I applaud the effort. A cog in a sweet '82 programme.
Dark Star
Dec. 18, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

Yep Q_76: needs to be remedied! One of those Faberge egg shows.
Cold Rain and Snow
June 14, 1976
Beacon Theatre

That big, beautiful, clean, silvery Garcia Spring '76 sound. Lush & patient! Great show.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 2, 1978
Giants Stadium

Hard for me to vote for a version where Garcia omits the 4th verse and goes right into the guitar break. That's just a pet thing for me. My baggage. Aside from that, there are some ace things in this S>F and, although it takes a little while, things definitely get extremely cooking.
