Relaxed and joyous space-age electric guitar semi-ballad.

Warp speed, precise, slightly unhinged, and driving into the greenish-blue evening.

Godchaux leads a version that seethes with the excitement of a new song.

A giggly, slangy Garcia masterpiece (in sweet show sauce). Goes down EZ.

And on DP30, it sounds majestic. Awesome shit.
Playin' In The Band

Musikhalle

I like the use of the word "elegant" to describe this from Carrion. Exactly. Elegant, spacious, and thoughtful. What an expansive way to open a show.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Great American Music Hall

This one gets stronger as it goes and it starts off pretty damn hot. Doesn't have the swagger of Fall '76/Spring '77, but joyous and detailed at the same time.

Buoyant and bouncy! Nice guitar conversation.

4/12 is one of my favorite shows of the year. This Estimated is suitably silky and rich. The dial down for the coda/jam is particularly luxurious - Garcia basically ruminating out loud through his guitar. Toe-tapping hovercraft of a version. A little surprised this Estimated hasn't received more headyversion attention.
