Smooth with wicked edges in all the right places!

Overlooked, patient little gemerald.

From the opening little parlay, hooked.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

This one is the sound of a band that knows it can do pretty much anything. Smooth and fiery.

Here Comes Sunshine
Feb. 23, 1974
Winterland Arena

Super sunshiney jam - the band is in high gear. And yes, grendel, the Keith flourish is zesty.
The Other One
March 28, 1972
Academy of Music

Out of the gates, this one has a joyous gait and then nearly three minutes in it mutates very thematically - like a soundtrack. And there's 25 minutes left. And shit gets crazy. Intimate and thoughtful stuff (Johnny Carson voice).
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 11, 1978
Springfield Civic Center Arena

3 pts. alone for the envelope filter! Weir's plinky, but he also throws in some wicked delay during the transition. High or not, some tight mid-field play.
Not Fade Away
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

I love that Godchaux is playing a slightly out-of-tune piano - the only part of this NFA that isn't dead perfect. And I like it even more for it.
The Other One
Nov. 17, 1972
Century II Convention Hall

One of the Giants of Other Ones - it's top drawer even before the sick jam @ 9:00. Then it mutates. Great Garcia wah work. Lesh and Kreutzmann take over @10:45 and then Godchaux comes in and Tyners things up a little.
