Me and My Uncle
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Two things: (1) the middle of a searing Other One > MAMU > Other One fest and (2) Garcia loses his mind (or mine) at the end of the solo.

Cryptical Envelopment
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Drop dead gorgeous, lithe, and restaurant quality perfect.

Greensboro Coliseum

Clear To Hell - Hear how a luscious Candyman absorbs a crowd in NC.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Feb. 23, 1971
Capitol Theater

Lately I think of Port Chester. Fab 4 Alignment. Limber. Ambidextrous.

St. Stephen
Dec. 29, 1969
Boston Tea Party

The peak is like a merry-go-round spinning out of and back into control and then, albeit briefly, out and in of control again.

Playin' In The Band
Oct. 10, 1982
Frost Amphitheatre

This is just a great set. Unmistakeably 80s, but that's part of its greatness. No other version of the band sounds like this one. That Playin > Crazy Fingers opener is just a lovefest.
Eyes Of The World
March 19, 1977
Winterland Arena

One of those great Eyes where, at times, it seems like the band's barely playing. But they are. (Playing)
Tennessee Jed
Oct. 26, 1971
The Palestra, U. of Rochester

I'm surprised this isn't rocketing up the charts! This is such a lovely, sweet, perfeck Jed. Sorry to comment on my own entry, but yelks!
The Eleven
June 5, 1969
Fillmore West

Light on its feet, pinballing, tilt-a-whirl version. Garcia laying it on the line as usual.
Estimated Prophet
July 5, 1978
Omaha Civic Auditorium

Garcia just glitters! The whole band rises up.
