Me and My Uncle
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Two things: (1) the middle of a searing Other One > MAMU > Other One fest and (2) Garcia loses his mind (or mine) at the end of the solo.

Cryptical Envelopment
Nov. 17, 1971
Albuquerque Civic Auditorium

Drop dead gorgeous, lithe, and restaurant quality perfect.

Candyman

Greensboro Coliseum

Clear To Hell - Hear how a luscious Candyman absorbs a crowd in NC.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Feb. 23, 1971
Capitol Theater

Lately I think of Port Chester. Fab 4 Alignment. Limber. Ambidextrous.

St. Stephen
Dec. 29, 1969
Boston Tea Party

The peak is like a merry-go-round spinning out of and back into control and then, albeit briefly, out and in of control again.

Shakedown Street
Oct. 25, 1979
New Haven Coliseum

Agree w/everyone here - this one brings the funk! Garcia in fine MuTron form and I've come to accept that Myland pushes things in a good way. The re-visit suits this version. Confident and brash - it's grown on me.
Brown Eyed Women
May 28, 1977
Hartford Civic Center

A fabulous BEW, but Garcia's guitar break on 5/8 is still my favorite most days of the week. I'll take either one, but I won't, I can't stand for 5/8's BEW be called overrated.
St. Stephen
Oct. 11, 1983
Madison Square Garden

A little clumsy and too much Mydland tinkling, but the heart is there!
Scarlet Begonias
Sept. 11, 1974
Alexandra Palace

Dave & I dig the comments and dig this ZESTY version!
The Other One
Feb. 6, 1970
Fillmore West

Pigpen at the controls for some of this - pushes it into the stratosphere. Of course, the rest of the group is responsive like a Mustang. No weak links in this one - no dead wood. Ace shit!
