Always such an engrossing re-visit. I agree: this is a Top 5 1977 show (which is saying plenty). And no Eyes that legendary year beats this one out for me. And Lesh is in zesty form.

Keeps the momentum of the crazy St. Stephen + jam which bleeds into it w/a beautiful transition. The restraint is a major reason this version is at the top of the heap. Also helped along nicely by Lesh's pillowy 1971 electric bass guitar.
