Jed As Tight Little Pop Song. Tight and snappy, enthusiasm for a new classic.

Smooth, silky, and that unique silvery June '76 Garcia sound.

The Eleven
Oct. 13, 1968
Avalon Ballroom

Thoroughly enjoyed hvd sleuth's exegesis. I don't have an argument either way. Just enjoying the luxurious insanity here. Garcia's in high sleeve form - he's just recently realized he has super powers. What to do? Let me try this! One of these! Two of my favorite shows ever. Point blank, as Fred Smoot used to say.
Dark Star

Civic Auditorium

What I said whenever that was. Fantastic Dark Star.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 5, 1974
Philadelphia Civic Arena

Swings hard! They weave in and out comprehensible meter but never loose the stride. Taaasty Lesh bomb - he's pretty dominant throughout. Some exemplary electric bass playing all the way through. And with that heavy, hot lambswool shoulder pad! I don't how he could even fucking move. But move he does. Weir's break is break-neck. It comes as no shock what Garcia manages to do here. Mighty, top sleeve GD. On par with the best of '72, but it has the silly Feelin' Groovy jam that detracts just a smidge - thus not quite as ace frehley as 8/27/72, 9/23/72, 11/19/72 to me. But great anyway.
Dancin' in the Streets
Sept. 28, 1976
Onondaga County War Memorial

A big, quick-footed Dancin', but with some weirdness at the edges. Super friendly. It so wants to please - wants you to love it, but it is at no point distracted by its own feelings. Oh sure: looking like it doesn't really care. You can't fool us that easily 1976 Dancin'!
Truckin'
Feb. 28, 1973
Salt Palace

It just sounds sooooo easy for them here - a loose, conversational Truckin' through to its jam where Lesh makes himself quite at home, thank you.
