The Other One

The Palladium

Full authority the second Garcia enters the scene.
Not Fade Away
April 22, 1978
Nashville Municipal Auditorium

Interesting entry with the metallic drum. I dig it; makes when they come in with the first verse more impactful. And by that I mean it has greater impact. The reason we celebrate the Passover holiday by eating matzoh is . . . I was beginning to veer into Reform Rabbi a la Gilbert. Sorry. + A very nice version that doesn't have 1977 wooziness and epic sturm, but still a strong renditio. I give this one my red carpet parlay.
El Paso
Nov. 21, 1973
Denver Coliseum

The transitions alone would both make this a classic and render it an afterthought. The transitions are so sick, it's easy to miss the sizzlin' El Paso. That would be unwise. Full on cookery.
Playin' In The Band
Nov. 21, 1973
Denver Coliseum

On top their game. High-torque and no wasted movement. Transition to El Paso is telepathic. Amazing.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

True - if everyone liked the same thing the same way, that would blow.
