Overlooked, patient little gemerald.

From the opening little parlay, hooked.

This one is the sound of a band that knows it can do pretty much anything. Smooth and fiery.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Oct. 10, 1982
Frost Amphitheatre

An jaunty exercise this. Garcia leads the way with a 13+ lb. guitar! Strong like bull.
Dark Star
Oct. 25, 1969
Winterland Arena

Bubbly, conversational - like walking into a lively party of smart, witty, stylishly dressed patrons d'art. Then things take a turn. City feel. Top of game stuff.
Dark Star
June 24, 1970
Capitol Theatre

Even without the ridic set-list, this Dark Star is masterful - tells the whole story. Cinemascope. At about 8:49, someone in the theatre utters "O my God" which strikes me as a fairly sensible response to the offering. That this Dark Star contains both an Attics and Sugar Magnolia ought not bias the honorable panel. Good luck.

Fillmore West

Some great TC-Garcia interplay throughout. These four Fillmore West shows are crazy.

Phil's laying the caramel down down hey down and the band immediately hits the SWAY button.
