Warp speed, precise, slightly unhinged, and driving into the greenish-blue evening.

Godchaux leads a version that seethes with the excitement of a new song.

A giggly, slangy Garcia masterpiece (in sweet show sauce). Goes down EZ.

Can't add much more: sizzling show. Matches up pretty well with everything they played that Spring. This one's loose, but on the dreamy side of loose. + Cruisin' first guitar break. Jeeeez! Pretty good audience and, like of others of that time, has a special sonic feel that's very musical.

This one swings like they only swung in 77. Can't be duplicated - even by them. Sleepy and bouncy. Garcia's flights of fancy - even prior to the guitar break - are silky and organic. Which sounds like a shampoo. 1977 was probably one of the best years for the word shampoo. Ah, the pickings were lush! Garcia's playing was a constant narrative thread, a character who moves the story along and share revelations. Whoa. And, of course, a chef's kiss to the break. It's delivered in paragraphs. Smokes! Holy smokes!

Yeah - love this audience. Captures the space and this song's a good test subject for any space.

Needs more votes. This is such a monster. Sometimes my favorite block of GD. The perfect transfer point from very psychedelic to spacious abstract jazz. Were they ever better than this? Effectively a quartet.

Super solid rendition. Garcia's simply reporting.
