Good version sandwiched between HCS and the big jam suite...

Seems like this show needs more love around here...a few high vote-getters, but the whole thing rocks

Oct. 29, 1973
Kiel Auditorium
Starts off sounding like a steam-powered ship lurching into motion, but is more akin to a freight train galloping at a cool 35 MPH by the time they hit the incredible climax of Jerry's solo! Crazy how much that section evolved from '72 (still great) to '73, despite not getting any longer...
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre
Billy and Jerry cannot get in sync with each other for the first 1:40…hilariously so. Phil eventually tries to overemphasize the “1” to no avail, so Billy gives up and goes back into the NFA groove briefly to try again! Typically great '72 version once they get it going...
Not Fade Away
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre
Highlighted by a raunchy, muscular solo from Jerry
Greatest Story Ever Told
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre
Kind of a mellow intensity...on the slower end for '72. Nice one.
Promised Land
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre
There's a confident patience to this one...
