Oakland Auditorium

Unless I'm very much mistaken, this is the premiere of Tiger.

There are some nice moments in the show before this, but it really takes off around here.

Truly beautiful version.

The bass cut at the start of this is a tragedy. Still a great version.

I know this is JGB, but it's one of the best versions and absolutely needs to be listed.

Dark Star
May 11, 1972
Rotterdam Civic Hall

Any chance you could scan/share this with a brother? You've completely sold me on this show and it's one of my new favorites, I'd love to see his walkthrough.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
May 8, 1977
Barton Hall - Cornell University

One of the things that sets this version ahead of some of the other stellar May S>Fs is how absolutely dialed in Jerry's tone is. Listen to it bounce off the hall throughout the Fire.
Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication
May 8, 1977
Barton Hall - Cornell University

For me, this is when the whole show locks in. It's all legitimately good after this, and great in parts, but I really hear the band locking in beginning here.
Beat it on Down The Line
June 18, 1974
Freedom Hall

If you need a soundtrack for Derby today, spin this!
Childhood's End
Aug. 1, 1994
The Palace

Haha fair enough. I guess I can't really talk, since I never experienced it live. I just wanted to give Phil the benefit of the doubt (let's face it, Jerry's vocals aren't stellar from this period either). Boogie on friend!
